I am a freelance illustrator and educator who has been working with clients and students for over two decades. In that time I have fulfilled commissions for character design, book covers, and portraiture rendered even the most fantastical subjects in a realistic style. I currently am working as an art instructor in secondary education.

As an illustrator I relish the challenge of bringing the personal visions of the client to life. I am creative, communicative and punctual and work with authors and publishers to develop the ideal cover for their work. I am experienced in a variety of traditional and digital media and specialize in oil painting.

What you can expect from working with me:

I will ask you some initial questions about the project and then generate a series of sketches. One of these question will be about your art budget. This information will help me to generate an offer for you that is within your price range.

After communication is established I will make a series of abstract "thumbnail images". I will choose three of four to make into more detailed sketches and for you to choose from, taking direction from you to make your vision come to life. This places you in the role of art director and gives you a bit more creative control.

After that I will generate a comprehensive rough sketch for final approval before moving to the final image.
